#LoveBulu: Bulu Box review

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Fit Approach, Sweat Pink, and Bulu Box I received a complimentary Bulu Box to review.

Never heard of Bulu Box? Think of your favorite makeup subscription box, then replace that thought with a bright orange box filled with health and fitness products. Each month, Bulu Box subscribers receive 4-5 (or 6 in the case of my box!) vitamin, supplement, and healthy snack samples to try out. Each and every sample in the Box is available in full-size on the Bulu Box shop online. One of the many benefits of such a subscription box is the Rewards Points program. Each month, subscribers can take a quick survey about the sample in their box in exchange for 10 Rewards Points (equal to $1). With 5 samples in your Box, that means you could earn $5 off your next purchase in the Bulu shop.

Here’s a look at what I found inside my Bulu Box:

Mediterra Savory Bar with Sundried Tomato & Basil – Sometimes I crave a quick and easy healthy snack when I’m on the go but am not in the mood for something sweet. Along comes this Savory Bar in a flavor I am 100% on board with. This bar has all my favorite flavors from pasta sauce in a convenient packaging that fits right in my gym bag. With 6 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber, this bar held me over until it was time for dinner. I highly recommend this one!

Yerba Prima Daily Fiber Formula – I can easily sneak an extra dose of fiber into my morning breakfast or protein shake. I can never have too much fiber, right? Yerba Prima provides both soluble and insoluble fiber, which supports our favorite little guys, healthy bacteria in the colon.

Earth’s Care Anti-Itch Cream – I don’t have a need for an anti-itch cream at the moment, but the need does come up in my household from time to time. I would have liked to have this cream on hand earlier this summer when I was dealing with sunburn. This product relieves pain and itching from poison ivy, sunburn, minor cuts, and scrapes. I do get scratched up from the animals at work on a somewhat regular basis, so I just might keep this in my locker at work or in my purse. I like that this product contains shea butter and almond oil while leaving out artificial colors and fragrances, as well as petroleum.

Island Boost – I receied the Renegade variety, which is a blueberry-pomegranate flavor. That immediately screamed perfection to me! Island Boost fuels the body naturally, without caffeine or other stimulants. I would rather put a more natural product into my body than one laden with caffeine and high amounts of added sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Island Boost helped me stay on top of my weekly 90 minute Tabata class on Tuesday. Thank you electrolytes!

More-T Toothbrush – Yes, you are looking at the above photo correctly. The More-T toothbrush is T-shaped, hence the name. The idea is to brush vertically with the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums. I have never seen a toothbrush like this one, so I was surprised to find it inside my Bulu Box. I have been brushing horizontally for 20-something years, so the More-T toothbrush will take some getting used to.

Bugeater Foods Jump – If you thought the toothbrush was interesting, wait until you hear what makes this protein powder different from what you typically find on the shelves where you buy your favorite protein. Bugeater Foods (you can guess where this is going based on the company name) has created a cricket-based protein powder. Don’t worry, you can have your crickets in a rich chocolate flavor that tastes nothing like what I imagine a crispy fried cricket would taste like. Why crickets? It turns out that crickets are a sustainable source of protein, in addition to containing lots of iron and omega-3 fatty acids. This was the product in the box I was most nervous to try, but I am proud to say I tried crickets and enjoyed them! If you are into sustainability like I am and are brave enough to branch out from your usual protein powder, give crickets a chance.

My Bulu Box is helping me stay on my journey to greater health and fitness. I recently participated in Sweat Pink’s 1 Million Minutes campaign, where our online community worked together to achieve 1 million minutes of activity. Life after 1 Million Minutes got a little bit more fun thanks to these new products from Bulu Box.

The kind folks at Bulu Box provided a coupon code for you, my faithful readers. If you use the code SWEATPINK when you sign up for a 3, 6, or 12 month Bulu Box subscription, you will receive 50% off. Head on over to BuluBox.com to sign up today!

Which of the products I mentioned above would you be most excited to try? Let me know in the comments!

I received the products mentioned above in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
