Sweat Pink: Get the Picture with #NoExcuses
I made it to the final week of the Sweat Pink #NoExcuses challenge, but fitness doesn’t end there. I am on a life-long fitness journey for the sake of my own health and wellness. I am in this for me, no one else. This week I was challenged to include a photo in my blog post that demonstrates why I am dedicated to the #NoExcuses lifestyle.
Growing up, I was that chubby kid. I was never thin or athletic, and I loved food. Today I’m still not the most coordinated person, and I don’t have an athlete’s body. I retained my love for food. However, I am dedicated to the gym, where I work on my agility, strength training, and cardiovascular fitness in ways that work for me. I tackle tough workouts like Insanity, Tabata (90 minutes worth in one session!), and R.I.P.P.E.D. just to name a few.
In 2015, my goal is to gain an even higher level of physical fitness. My goal is to be stronger, to be faster, to be an even better version of me than I was in 2014. My goal is to never go back to the version of me that I was at 10 years old. Over 100 pounds at such a young age and incredibly unhappy:
Yes, I still love food but in moderation. I can (and do!) treat myself, but not everyday. I enjoy healthy snacks instead of salty greasy potato chips. I include protein, fiber, and good carbohydrates to give my body the fuel it needs. I eat breakfast everyday and it never includes a donut! If I’m in a hurry, which I often am, I grab a protein bar for breakfast. I first tried AMRAP Nutrition products last year, and I have to admit they are pretty tasty!
